Many Colored Tulips is part of a painting series where time stops. Floral framing, magical skies with vivid and surreal colors, a mandala being both sun and moon, and a couple, usually in and embrace, kissing, but sometimes dancing.

It is a play on the divine mirror. The mandala represents the cosmos, wholeness, and the center of existence. The kissing, dancing, or generally embracing couple represents the timeless act of love and human connection as a sacred, central axis of life.

The series touches on the idea of Soul Mates, Twin Flames, and karmic alliances. The mandala emphasizes the perfect alignment of two individual forces coming together. It elevates a simple physical kiss, an embrace, or the act of dancing to the same time into a spiritual blending of two souls.

Why flowers? Seasons, regrowth, time, patience, and the bloom are why. The magic blooms, so noticed, so pretty, but fleeting. Then they become dormant, they disappear, dryness, emptiness, barren fields or branches, plain leaves... oh, but if you keep watching, they bloom again. Cyclically, the flowers have bloomed for thousands of years.

A bit on Mandalas:

Hinduism & Buddhism: Mandalas represent a map of the cosmos and the journey to enlightenment. They often feature a square with a circle enclosing it, symbolizing the transition from the material world to the spiritual.

Tibetan Buddhism: Monks painstakingly create elaborate, colorful sand mandalas over weeks, only to deliberately sweep them away. This act symbolizes the Buddhist belief in impermanence and the fleeting nature of life.

Native American & Slavic: Similar concepts, such as the medicine wheel, are used to symbolize harmony, the interconnectedness of all living things, and a shield of good luck.

Christianity: Circular elements resembling mandalas (such as rose windows in cathedrals) often symbolize the infinite, continuous nature of God
